What’s up with the world these days? This film tells the story of a man named Noah who’s going about his way when the world ends. Noah (Russell Crowe) and his family make their way from his home to a building they find, this building is protected by angels. Most of the characters in the film are nice and I like their character development, they’re all a bit of an asshole to one another, however, I did have a problem with the character of God, I felt he didn’t do enough to get the job done. I’m not always going to agree with how a character is written, but I felt the writers (the writers that is, the director, the writer and the stars) had a hard time working up a convincing God character for this film. I’m not a Christian, but I enjoyed this film. I get the whole concept of this particular story. I’ve heard that a number of Christians dislike the film, so I was intrigued to see if I would agree with them. While I’m not a Christian, I felt the concepts in the film are philosophical in nature, but I’m good with philosophy, so that’s no problem for me. While watching the film I felt it to be a must see, I really enjoy Noah when I know what’s going to happen, but I don’t love it. I enjoyed it a lot when I knew exactly where it was going, but if you don’t know where you’re going, then what the hell are you doing?! I think some of the film-goers have problems with the story, I also think some of them have problems with the in-depth Christian doctrine that is tied to the story, I don’t have those problems, I don’t care.
